Deploying Xpress Insight on DMP
It assumes you have correctly configured either an on-premises installation of DMP, or have access to the DMP on the FAC.
On-premises installation of the DMP is covered in the FICO DMP X.x.xp Installation Guide (where X.x.x is the version number).
- On the FAC, the Catalog provides access to many FICO Components. Each component that you acquire from the Catalog provides some specific set of decisioning capabilities. Typically, each component provides its own configuration or decision modeling interface, and enables the deployment of the model as a decision service.
- For an on-premises installation of DMP, the Catalog must be populated with an archetype of any component you wish to deploy. When Xpress Insight is deployed to the DMP, the archetype provides the template for the Component.
Tableau Reporting
On the FAC, Xpress Insight on DMP supports Tableau for FICO Server, an optional component that enables integration of Tableau visualizations into the Xpress Insight user interface as custom views for advanced reporting.
Tableau is not supported when DMP is installed on-premises.
Adding the Archetype to On-Premises DMP
Archetypes are provided as Docker images by FICO through a remote private Docker registry. These images need to be pulled, re-tagged, and pushed to your Docker registry and upload it into DMPp via the Manager Interface.
Execution Worker Pods
Xpress Insight ships with unlicensed Execution Workers that are restricted to running only small optimizations and can be scheduled anywhere. Licensed workers offer greater capacity, but specific nodes in the cluster must be allocated to only accept the Worker pods to protect the performance of the Xpress Insight Server.
