Configuring Xpress Insight Server Properties

This section describes how to configure certain settings on the Xpress Insight Server.

The tasks in this chapter can only be performed by a DevOps user (an Administrator with access to the Kubernetes console).

This capability is provided to enable changes to logging settings, fine-tune the system settings to suit your network, and provide control over the file types held on your system.
Note Administrators who are familiar with on-premises installations of Xpress Insight might have performed this task by editing the standalone.xml file.
Optionally, update any or all of the example files provided here, then upload them following the procedure outlined below:
  • Create a system.properties file containing the edited configuration options.
  • Create a logging.properties file containing the loggers to alter.
  • Create a Kubernetes (k8s) configmap object in the desired k8s namespace. It can then be edited using the k8s dashboard User Interface. For more on k8s configmaps, visit the Kubernetes website: https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/configuration/configmap/
