Integrating Tableau Visualizations in Custom Views

Tableau is a powerful business intelligence application that allows you to analyze many different types of structured data using a greatly expanded range of chart and graph formats to create your views.

Tableau visualizations can be incorporated into custom views that report on scenario data.

This chapter describes the tasks that a developer needs to execute in order to incorporate Tableau visualizations as views in an Xpress Insight app.

The steps involved in performing these tasks will be described in the context of adding a Tableau view to the QuickStart example that can be found when opening the default project template in Xpress Workbench or in <installdir>\examples\basic_apps\{python,mosel}\quick_start. If you want to follow the steps, we suggest you start from the Workbench project template.
