Installing FICO® Xpress Insight

Use this guide to install FICO® Xpress Insight on a Microsoft® Windows® workstation or laptop for development or evaluation purposes.

For detailed information on installing Xpress Insight in production configurations, the prerequisite software requirements, and for information on which versions of the different operating systems are supported, see the FICO Xpress Insight 5 Installation Guide. For information on installing other FICO Xpress Optimization components, as well as detailed information on licensing options and licensing troubleshooting, see the FICO Xpress Installation Guide.

Perform the tasks in this order:
  1. Back up your repository (always recommended).
  2. Install the new version of Xpress.
  3. Extract the binaries from Insight 5 developer kit and put them in the Xpress folder.
  4. Install the new version of Xpress Insight.
  5. Configure Xpress Insight.
  6. Verify your installation.
  7. Publish from Xpress Workbench™.
Note:
  • The instructions assume an installation directory of C:\xpressmp.
  • Xpress Insight is not supported on macOS; however, macOS developers can develop locally and publish to a remote Xpress Insight server.
