Initializing help system before first use

Release Notes

This release includes the following updates:
  • Rearchitecture: Xpress Executor has been optimized to support higher throughput, improving efficiency and performance. The compute capacity of each node has increased from 4 to 28 cores.
  • Synchronous execution: The new REST API execution endpoint is synchronous, returning the results only after the execution has completed.
  • Automatic run log upload: Run logs are automatically uploaded to an S3 bucket and persisted for easy access and auditing.
  • Enhanced configuration options: Xpress Executor can be configured to allow the model to interact with external components beyond its current solution.
  • Warmup feature: Xpress Executor can run a warmup execution each time a node starts or restarts. The warmup execution seeds the Mosel instance with data, which is then available for subsequent executions to use.

Removed Functionality from Executor 3

As part of the architectural changes in Xpress Executor 4.0, the following features are no longer available:
  • The mosjvm module for executing Java code has been removed.
  • Stand-alone LP or MPS file solving is no longer supported. You must provide a ZIP archive containing a compiled Mosel model.
  • The SOAP API is no longer supported. Use the new REST API instead.
  • Because execution is now synchronous, the execution queue view has been removed.
  • The UI does not directly support running a model. However, you can use the Swagger UI to interact with the REST API.
  • On-premises installation is not supported.
