Features and Restrictions
The differences include:
- The Docker version of Insight is currently the Community Edition.
- Insight on Docker supports multiple Conda environments, each of which is associated with an Insight execution environment (which can be mapped to multiple apps). This is different from the Insight on FICO Platform, which uses a separate Conda environment for each app. (See Working with Conda Environments.)
- Workbench on Docker stores Insight credentials in a Docker volume. This is different from the on-premises version of Workbench, which uses the operating system credential store. (See Connecting Xpress Workbench to Xpress Insight.)
- Workbench on Docker is browser-based and does not include the examples that are included with the on-premises version.
- Workbench on Docker has a different mechanism for managing project directories, compared to the on-premises version. (For more information, see Configuring the Workbench Data Directory.)
