findfield

Purpose
Find a field of a record type.
Synopsis
function findfield(tid:integer, name:string):integer
Arguments
tid 
Code id of a record type
name 
Field name in the record
Return value
The field number (a positive value), 0 if the record type does not include a field of the provided name or -1 the given type ID is invalid or not referring to a record type.
Example
The following:
public declarations
 R=record
     public fld1:integer
     fld2:real
     public fld3:string
   end-record
end-declarations

writeln(findfield(R.id,"fld1"))
writeln(findfield(R.id,"fld2"))
writeln(findfield(R.id,"fld3"))
produces this output:
1
0
2
Further information
This function can only access public fields (it returns 0 when trying to locate a private field). The fields are numbered starting from 1.
