pathexists

Purpose
Check whether a path exists.
Synopsis
function pathexists(path:text):boolean
Argument
path 
Path name to process.
Return value
true if the path is an existing file or directory.
Example
See isemptydir or cleandirs.
Further information
This routine only checks for existence, use checkfile in order to create the path in case it does not exist.
