Attaching Files

You can upload attachments to apps that will be available for all scenarios within the app or you can upload attachments to a single scenario, which is available for that scenario only.

An app may require that certain app or scenario attachments be provided. These requirements are app-specific and documented by app's author. Files can also be attached for process or workflow requirements. For example, you may want to include an email with information on why you changed a scenario or a file that contains an approval for the change. These types of files have meaning for your app or scenarios, but they do not directly impact the calculations.

Note Certain potentially insecure file extensions cannot be used as attachments. If you have FICO® Xpress Insight Server hosted on-premise then you can configure this setting to select which are allowed, however the DMP version of Xpress Insight Server prevents use of the following extension types: apk, asp, aspx, bat, bin, c, cc, class, conf, cpp, css, dll, exe, gif, iso, java, js, jse, jsp, lib, php, phps, phtml, properties, ps1, rar, rpm, sh, swf, tar, tga, tiff, vb, vbe, vbs, vbscript, war, xlm, xlsm, xltm, xsdt. The Xpress Insight Server will block any import or upload of a Repository, App, Folder, or Scenario that contains one or more attachments with blacklisted filename extensions.   • Opening the Attachments Dialog Box
    With the App Attachments or Scenario Attachments dialog box, you can create, upload, edit, download, and manage attachments.

    You can add an attachment for a single scenario or for an entire app, but uploading the files works in the same way. You can upload up to 250 files per scenario, and each file can be up to 300 MB.

    By clicking Save As, you can save a copy of any attachment you are editing.
  • Downloading Attachments
    You can download any file attachments for an app or a scenario.
  • Deleting Attachments
    You can delete any file attachments for an app or a scenario.
