FICO survey reveals that Mexicans are behind in digital account opening

A digital banking study revealed that 88% of the customers in Mexico would open a financial account digitally, but the physical branch remains the top choice

Consumers are increasingly using websites or apps to open a digital account and expect this process to be quick. At the same time, you have to make sure that they are who they say they are to prevent criminals from opening accounts using stolen or false identities.

To find out what customers really think about digital account opening and fraud protection, FICO surveyed 5.000 people in 10 countries, including Mexico.
