Join Me at CBA Live for Fraud Prevention and Customer Experience

Having become a pro at Zoom meetings during the pandemic, I’m excited to up my game a notch this Wednesday, September 30. I’ll be participating in an excellent panel, “Balancing Fraud Prevention & the Customer Experience,” at the first virtual edition of CBA LIVE, the must-attend annual event for the retail banking industry. What’s great about virtual conferences is that you can register, today, to attend.

Learn from Fraud-Fighting Superstars

This year I’m honored to share the virtual stage with three fraud-fighting superstars to talk about how, with the right platform and security partners, banks can both mitigate fraud and deliver frictionless customer experiences. Our panel will dive into the strategic how-to, discussing how data agnostic decisioning platforms that offer API (application programming interface) integration capabilities with fraud solution providers represent a best-of-breed approach to real-time fraud mitigation while delivering a fantastic customer experience.

If that technology description sounds daunting, don’t be put off. Our panel of experts will break it down for you. You’ll get a real-word perspective from:

Jason Castillo, Executive Vice President, Head of Fraud and Claims, Citizens Financial Group

Jason is responsible for consumer, commercial and small business fraud detection and strategies, fraud prevention, fraud claims investigation, billing disputes and recovery operations. Jason also leads the consumer bank’s Continuous Improvement team, helping other business lines to identify and execute strategic solutions to improve customer experience and internal bank processes.

Jason has been with Citizens for three years, leading the Fraud Detection and Claims Operations teams since 2016. In 2017, he was named the Head of Enterprise Fraud Management, expanding his responsibilities to include consumer lending fraud, fraud strategies and fraud prevention. A more than 20 years veteran of the industry, Jason previously held various leadership roles across consumer operations, finance and compliance at Bank of America and MBNA.

Andy Collins, Fraud Prevention Industry Insights/Industry Relations Executive, Wells Fargo and Company, Inc.

Andy has a 35-year banking background with experience ranging across retail enterprise strategies, regional management, product management and fraud operations. Andy has directed the end-to-end product growth strategy on a $65B deposits portfolio, managed a country-wide network of overseas military banking facilities and led an end-to-end fraud operation with over 400 employees. Andy has spent over 15 years as a senior executive leader of some of the most admired brands in the country, including SunTrust Bank, USAA Federal Savings Bank and Bank of America, and effectively managed profit and loss of product portfolios that have significantly contributed to the bottom line of these companies.

Ben Mendelsohn, Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Product Management, Fifth Third Bankcorp

Ben is a seasoned financial services professional with a track record of success in both developing strategy and leading execution on projects and company initiatives. He currently leads the management and development of new and existing deposit products and services. This includes P&L and balance sheet responsibility for the impacts of pricing, product benefits, marketing, risk, regulatory and compliance related issues, customer experience and coordination with sales and service channels. He’s had the opportunity to wear many hats in my career, including experience in developing consumer services, project management, consumer lending, small business banking, investments and insurance, mortgage and sales management.
